Is there anybody out there?

Good morning and Happy Friday to all. As we move towards the middle of the month I have finally moved to the city and it seems a lot different from where I moved from. In Homewood Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago the neighborhood is a quiet as a mouse on a Friday nignt. There are people out and about but they are driving or riding in cars because public transportation is non existant this late. Going to the Subway sandwich shop you can place your order and lean on the counter as you look at what you want on your sandwich. There are wild animals as you may see deer, rabbits and when it gets cold out there was a raccoon that came in to the attic area and made his home there. I would sometimes just sit on the porch and could fall asleep if I was not careful. One night while sitting on the porch I heard a sound but I could not see where is was coming from or who it may have been. By me having a background in security I quickly rose to my feet and asked , " Is there anybody out there "? This question needs to be answered in many areas in not just Amereica but in the entire world.



So as I have moved back to the south side of Chicago from the burbs I had to ask is there anybody out there? Not meaning if people are out there because they are everywhere. Like the people who sit in front of the house next door to me with their company playing loud music and cursing and drinking all night long. Or the group of down and out people on the corner by the garbage cans drinking alcohol in 100 degree weather. Or the group of men who asked me and anybody else if we wanted to buy loose squares or get some of that Kecia which is marijuana. Or the man on the bus stop having a loud conversation with himself or the woman who had on just a shirt and a pair of panties in buying loose squares. My question is where are the responsible people at. Is there anybody out there?

There has always been a cry to see if there was anybody out there. In the Bible there are many but I am going to use three examples of the question is there anybody out there. The first example happens in Genesis happens in the book of Genesis 3:8-9. Adam has bitten the fruit of the tree of life and now he ashamed of being seen by God. The next example is 1st Kings 11:9-12 when God is angry when that all that he has done for Solomon Solomon acts like there is nobody out there. The final example is in Matthew 26:56 is when the soldiers have come to get Jesus all of the other disciples run away and there was nobody out there to support Jesus. So even the Bible this question there were times when it seems like no one was out there but God is always there even if we are not there.


So many times there is no one listening to our youth and seniors they wonder is their anybody out there. Is there Christian leaders in the areas of the arts, entertainment, media and business. Is there Christians leaders in the areas of education, government, religion and family. Is there anybody out there as I walk through the bus station and see young men with their hats banged to the side and pants hanging to their knees . Is there anybody out there as homes are being broken into and the police staion is less than a mile from where this is going on. Is there anybody out there as the prices of health care rises for seniors and the senior facilities are  being taken over by people closer to my age and bring crime and disrespect. Is there anybody out there as strippers and drug dealers are glorified to make it rain. Is there anybody out there when I look up Black historians and see so many people, White, Black, Hispanics and even Native Americans that have been vital to Black history and it hasnt been taught to no one. What????? Is there anybody out there. There has to be.
When God sent Jesus here to atone for our sins he left the Holy Spirit to guide us ( Acts 2:1-13 ). So we must use what we know to make sure that somebody is out there. In the area of Government we must email our congressman, senators and our President to change things for the youth and the seniors. The area of arts and entertainment we must do things that promote the kingdom of God. The area of education must start promoting U.S. History without any boundaries. The area of media must be flooded with faith based stories even if we must start many more blogs to ge the word out. The area of business must step up to help out with jobs and services for the people they can employ.  In the area of family we must know what our children our doing as well as our seniors because these are our past and our future. In the area of religion we as Christians have to get out of the mentality of the safety of the four walls of the church so that the world can see we are out there and care. On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Growing up we used to love to take pictures. Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. Let The Rain Come Down

Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives.
