Let The Rain Come Down

Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word. So as we end this week we ask God to Let the Rain Come Down in our lives and the lives of those before us, all of us presently here and those who come will come after us.

When we seek the face of our creator we can expect him to let the rain come down. When we live after a manner in which he laid out for us we can expect waters to come gushing as if it were a river. When we have that crazy faith its like we are in the deepest of water. In looking at the title of this blog I attempt to break it down so those who can relate to sayings like Can you Dig and Solid, those who can relate to sayings It is what it is and Scandoulous to those who are familiar to Turnt Up and Going Ham on you. So to reach all I once again go to my Dictionary.com I look up the 3 main words of the title. The word let means; as a verb to allow or permit and as a noun in British meaning; lease. The word rain means; water that is condensed from aqueous vapor in the atmosphere and falls to earth in drops more than 1/50 inches ( 0.5 mm ) in diameter and verb; to send down. The word down means as an adverb; from higher to lower in descending direction toward and as a prepostional phrase; to place over on or along. So dear heavenly Father we ask that lease us some aqueous vapor in the atmosphere from higher to lower and place on us, along us and over us. We open our arms and ask you to Let the Rain come down and bless those before us, after us and my generation.

In the Word there are scriptures that are threefold, one which explains if you follow the laws that God has for us, one that proves that God is the maker of all rain and the rain that Jesus has as he is the one who fullfills the law. Yes we do have everlasting life that is promised us but we also can have a great life while we are down here doing his work. So I start as we follow the law in Leviticus 26:1-13. Just reading that shows what a mighty God we serve as he did it for our ancestors. In 1st Kings 17:1 Elijah according to God's words stopped the rain for many seasons as the people were not ready for what God had for them but after a while when  they saw the power of God and were in drought like conditions, like we are experiencing in our lives as it seems like more than three years for some of our blessings but he spoke thru Elijah to allow it to rain ( 1st Kings 18:1-2 ). And In John 19: 28-37 it tells of how Jesus said it is done and how blood and water gushed out of his body. We ask again, let the rain come down over and on us Father God.
We know when the rain comes down and it finally stops there is rainbow that covers the land. We ask that the blessings that have come down touch each and every race color and/or creed. We ask that you bless the finances of the seniors as they have to pay for medicines, advanced health care and other bills but on a fixed income. We ask that you  continue to keep the minds intact, strength in their bodies and even longer life. We ask that those of  my generation recognize the value of savings, passing on a legacy and learning the language of those that follow after us but to make sure that we gain the knowledge of those before us to keep our faith strong and long. We ask that those coming behind us that they value the importance of a education as being street educated is not anything like being boardroom edcuated ( CEO's get bonuses of over 10 million dollars, THATS BALLIN ),  that sex is a sacred thing not a casual acquaintance, and that respecting elders is very important. So we ask for the rain to come down for those who know about I wish it would Rain by the Temptations, A Fool in the Rain by Led Zepplin of my Generation and the Make It Rain Generation.
