Whom Do You Seek ( Recruitment Strategy)

Image
Good morning and Happy Tuesday. As I begin this last teaching for the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 all jobs have a strategy to find the right candidates for their Onboarding Process. In the global world that we live in the candidates for jobs can come from anywhere. There are several methods to find the best candidates for your positions but one of the better ways, and cheapest, is to have employees recommend others for the position. See employees that have been with the organization a long time know the culture of the company and would more than likely suggest someone that would fit in with the company and with the culture of the company. Many times as men and women of the Body of Christ know people who would be a great fit for the Body of Christ and can help them come Onboard with one question. Whom Do You Seek? ( Recruitment Strategy). See in the world we live in today men and women in the world are seeking

Hostile Takeover

Good afternoon and Marvelous Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue in the month of Omboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 the last few days I have been feeling some kind of way about my assignment as a teacher of the Word of God. I have been feeling tired and not wanting to do it anymore. I mean is there people that actually read my daily Facebook postings and is it doing them any good. I know that I have some responsibility for the Rhema Word 2.0 blog and Facebook page but I feel like I am the only one who cares. I know that my own blog, Brand New Week, Brand New Attitude is helping people but it could be doing a lot better. I want to quit this and live my life like everyone else. Then I remember all of the things that God has blessed me with and I know that this is nothing but the enemy, attempting a Hostile Takeover. As we continue with this teaching of Hostile

Intervention ( Retention Strategy)

Good morning and Marvelous Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue in the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 one of the main issues that plague businesses of today is being able to keep their top employees. See in the Onboarding Process orientation and training is very important but being able to keep the employee is a challenge. We always think of other companies coming in and swiping talent but most times it is the organizations culture that plays a big part on whether a person wants to stay with the company or not. Some have strict rules when it comes to getting your vacation time. So allow mischief and conflict to be a part of their culture. And then even others have found more people coming on the then at work than on the streets. People of faith have experienced some of these things in their churches and instead of going to attend somewhere else the

The Good Example ( Part 2)

Image
Good afternoon and Finally Friday. As this is still the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 each month I do a teaching that is not part of the monthly theme and this month is no different. On the blog that I do for Rhema Word 2.0 I did a teaching called The Good Example, Part 1. It dealt with how as we as a people of God so be just that, The Good Example. Normally I try to keep my personal teachings that I do and one that I do for Rhema Word 2.0 separate but being The Good Example is very important. As men and women of God people look at you to see how you are living. My sons today question me today when I say that they should not smoke weed when they saw me smoking weed, drinking heavily and womanizing all while I was married to their Mother. And it is really nothing I cannot say but I still strive forward to be the Good Example. In doing the Good Example Part 1 I gave the definitions of the word example from my sourc

Orientation Day

Good afternoon and Marvelous Monday. As we continue with teachings in the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 I want to sarhare a life experience that I had.I have had several jobs in my lifetime. The one thing that I hated about starting a new job was doing Orientation Day. To me it was the most boring process of Onboarding that most companies do. Sitting in a room listening to speakers or HR reps or account managers or watching film was not cutting it for me. I often would what is called the Head nod, you know when your head jerks back and forth as you are nodding off to sleep. I mean I know what is required of me and what the job entails so why do I need to go through this? Organizations want you to know exactly what is required of you from the time that you come to work for them. As members of the Body of Christ, old but especially the new, there has to be an Orientation Day. It is important when becoming members o

Tough Love ( Onboarding Training Sessions)

Image
Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 1025-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 I had parents that although they spoiled me they did not spare the rod. In my household you did things the way that James and JoAnn wanted them. There was leeway for my sister Angela and myself to grow but to something foolish was grounds for discipline. I had been whipped with a belt, an extension cord, a broom, punched and even had a iron thrown at me because of being disrespectful and not following the direction of what the people who was paying the household bills. I used to want to run away and never come back because I felt so wronged. My mind would drift into places that it was not supposed and I had thoughts that could have been painful for myself. Looking back today I am so glad that my parents gave me something that I needed to become the man I am now. Tough Love. As we continue this teaching I want to define the meaning

Properly Dressed (Onboarding Process)

Good afternoon and Marvelous Monday. As we continue in the month of Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st  Corinthians 1:18-24 I remember when I first started working for my new security firm. One of the first things that they gave me was a Employee Manual. In this manual it gave me some of the rules and regulations of the company. In the front of the  Employee Manual there was a table of contents that showed the different sections of the manual. Being a new employee I wanted to check this out so I did not want to start off with the company in a bad way. I was fortunate enough to have some one mentor me but some things I had to  do myself. In the table of contents I saw things such as what holidays we get paid for, what to do when I need to call of sick and the benefits program. But one of the things that stood out to me was the dress code. As some are beginning this walk of Christ and others who have been in the Body of Christ for years one of the thi

Onboarding With Our Father

Image
Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the Year of Our Father based on Isaiah 64:7-9, Luke 11:2-4 and 1st John 3:1-3 and Onboarding in March based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9, John 10:25-30 and 1st Corinthians 1:18-24 one of the things that I knew when I was growing up was to recognize the voice of my Father, James Wesley. My father worked some crazy hours and was not never at home but when he came home I recognized his voice. Now when I was younger I did not know that he had to work that hard because he had to provide for a mortgage, car notes, electricity, gas, insurance and any other things that we needed to make the life of his family comfortable. I may have known what he did because I did not understand but I saw what he did. As we look at those who are new to the Body of Christ we need to emphasize that God has been part of their lives since day one. They may not have known he has brought them this far but since they are now part of the Body of Christ it is important that

Onboarding In March ( Theme of the month)

Image
Good morning and Marvelous Monday. Brand new month. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we come into the 61st day of the year we have been Drama Free in January based on 1st Kings 3:23-28 and Mark 12:13-17 and Renewed in February based on Psalms 51:10-13, Isaiah 40:28-31 and Ephesians 4:20-24. So as we continue forward there is an area that may need our attention. It has to so with once a person makes the step to receive Christ as their Savior. We as a people of God rejoice when this happens and know that is one of the purposes of the body of Christ is to have more people know and understand the gospel. And if the person who has found Christ is your spouse, child, relative and friend we are even more so excited. But most times in our excitement we tend to forget that they need help beyond the walls of the church to be ready to walk that walk of faith. They need us to help them. So we come into this month with a plan to keep the newer members engage.
