Brand new week, Brand new attitude

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we come to the end of the month of I'm About That Life in October based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 there are so many days that when I wake up that I try to do more than necessary. I may send encouraging emails to a couple of my friends to encourage them. Everyday I try to post a message to motivate and enlighten others on Facebook. There are some days ( not as many as I should ) that I provide the two homeless men who leftover food from my job when there is and over abundance. Then there are times when strangers who are walking down the street past my job may receive a greeting of "good job" , extra coupons that I may have, or even sometimes food that is given to me by the employees. It has taken me most of my life to do this but I can now because He Lives Inside Me ( Because I'm About That Life). As I continue this teachin

Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 on most days when I leave to go to work I am excited and as happy as can be. I look forward to the challenges of whats ahead of me no matter which of the two jobs I am currently employed at. Although I take public transportation I am thrilled to be able to be going somewhere were there is a purpose. At times I stand on my job for a few hours at a time and have to deal with some attitudes that are not pleasing but I could be at home watching Judge Judy and have no income. Though we are still in the month of I'm About That Life in October, once a month I teach about a subject other than theme of the month. I am as a teacher of faith have one problem that bothers me somewhat. As most of you know that I stay in Chicago and in my city there is a lot of things going on. There are several blocks in my city that have been taken over by gang members who sell drugs and shoot guns with reckless abandon. There are still women who walk up and down the streets selling their bodies for little money. And then there is the lack of respect of the youth whose actions are getting more bold and disrespectful. Although I cannot fix everything I just mentioned there is more than I could do. I need God to give me something that I do not seem to have. I need a Heart Transplant. Some of us, including myself seek alliances with sports teams in our towns or those who we like. Most of us seek satisfaction by going on shopping sprees to buy shoes, clothes, accessories and even jewelry from the big name stores such as Carson's, Macy's and Nordstrom's Rack. Then there are still others who seek to either cook the best dishes or find the best establishments like Pappadeaux's or Catch 37 to fulfill their appetites. Whatever most of us are seeking there is a goal, a purpose or an ends to a mean that is achieved. As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life in October based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 on yesterday for the second time i witnessed first hand some of the things that go on in a marathon as I had to work in the downtown Chicago area and saw many people who were part of the Chicago Marathon. This race is always on the second Sunday in October and is run by those who run professionally for a living and by those who want to finish this grueling challenge. There are young people as well as older who run this marathon. There are disabled people who also enter the marathon. There are people who may not run the distance but are allowed to walk the marathon. We as believers of God also have to basically Complete a Marathon ( When You Are About That Life ). As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life in October  based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 I recently had lunch with a Vice President of Hillshire Farms. He was telling me about how I have been such a help to him by just encouraging him and others as they walk out daily. I knew that he wanted to ask me a question that I am often asked by those who happen to have a time to talk to me. The question is where do I get my energy and positive attitude from. I could easily say  it is from getting a lot of rest on the days that I can get rest. I could easily say it is from my parents who are two of the nicest people that any could ever met. I could say that I received it from clergy, deacons, or even other members of my family ( my Grandmother is as sweet as pie as well). My answer to him and everyone else that God is the head of my life and it Shows on My Face. See each day I get up I am so happy that I was able to star

As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life In October based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 I currently am working in building that has a company that is going through a transition. The company has been bought by another organization and with that there are a lot of changes going on. With the takeover you have had the entire board of directors have been replaced. With the takeover the CEO has taken a huge buyout and left for possible a better position one day. With the change you have the beginning of an some employees leaving because of the uncertain situation. But  you have some employees who are still there and they have a lot of things on their minds such as being replaced or let go. I may not can do anything else but I continue to motivate them in whatever way I can to help them get through the day. I'm About That Healing Life.

Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we exit the month of Favor In September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 we enter the last quarter of the year. As we do I want to share something that happened to me this morning. I was on my way to work and in order for me to get there I have to take the bus. As I got to the bus stop I was approached by a woman who had a fantastic offer for me. She had a bus card that had $56.00 on it and all I had to give her was $27.00. She also told me that if I actually wanted to I go inside the Currency Exchange and verify that the amount she said was on the bus card was there. I thought it over and although it sounded good everything that sounds good is not good. So I passed up the offer and the woman cussed me out. I could tell that she was on drugs and was trying to get a fix. I was not that bad but I had a drug habit. Not anymore. Christ is the head of my life. I'm About That Life in October.
