Conflict Resolution

Image
Good morning and Happy Friday. As we finish the month of More in March based on Exodus 1:12 and 2nd Peter 1:19-21 I want to share with you all something that recently happened in my life. I am taking college courses online through a Capella University. One of the course I recently took and received a grade of A was Conflict Resolution. In this course it taught us that conflict was inevitable so we might as well embrace it and then deal with it. Most of the larger business organizations embraces conflict as it generates competition among employees and that in turns provides fresh ideas and products to be sold to make a profit. Conflict happens all over the world and how it is looked at can be helpful in how it is resolved. I learned a lot when I took this class because it made me look at all of the conflict I have had in my life and had not resolved it. I still had bitter feelings at those who laughed at me, mocked me and thought I would never be anything. But when God is the head of

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Growing up in the area of 103rd and St. Lawrence I saw most of the same people on my way to and fro. I saw Big Cornell as he sat on the porch as I went to work/school and came home from work/school. I saw the fights at the McDonalds after the football games at Gately Staduim. I saw the same man hanging outside the store in front of the liquor store asking for change. In my neighborhood not much changed. I was able to find almost everything in my neighborhood. The weed man was on Rhodes and when I wanted that good stuff I went to my man on Eberhart. The man who ask for change in front of liquor store on Vernon would buy our liquor for when we not old enough to buy. The store that stayed open 24 hours 7 days a week was on King Drive. All of these things were within a five block radius. No matter what direction I went I saw the same thing. We as a people of faith have also g

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue on the 77th day of the year 2013 and are still in the month of More in March based on Exodus 1:9-12 and 2nd Peter 1:19-21 5 I want to share something with all who read my blogs. When I was younger I wanted to learn another language to be able to communicate in ways that ways that other people ( mostly woman ) would be impressed. In high school I wanted to learn Spanish but that did not work as well. As I got older I wanted to learn the language of my ancestors and learn to speak one of the tongues of Africa but soon that thought went away as well. The one language that has always intrigued me was the French. The words I would hear that people would use in French was impressive to me. The ways the words would roll of of the tongues that people in the television or movies sounded very impressive to me. I also never learned French but I did learn one and would

They Live In Samaria

Good evening. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. The woman that is in the picture in this blog where my picture would normally be is my Aunt Josephine Wesley. Earlier today she took her last breath here on earth with us and went on to meet the Lord. Aunt Josephine had a style that was unique in the way that showed her love for God. Any and everywhere she would profess her love for God and try to convert any and every one she came in contact with to help them receive the reward she is now given. Aunt Josephine would go to hospitals, to the bus stops and wherever she needed to go to profess that Jesus died for our sins. Aunt Josephine knew that the ones who needed saving were not supposed to be the ones already in church. She went to places that others would not go. In biblical times this place the people was considered full of sinners and They Lived In Samaria. Aunt Josephine knew what her charge was and that was to introduce to the mas

Good morning and Happy Friday. As we continue in the month of More in March I wanted to look back last year when Ms. Tawana Williams and I had been released into our assignments after graduating from a tedious 40 weeks of Teachers Training Courses. During the training each and everything that could happen to not only me but my class as whole happened. There was job loss. There was the loss of transportation. There was homelessness. There was a teacher who passed away during our classes. There was even arguments and disagreements in the class which took place in the house of God. There were many days that we all wanted to give and go back to either sitting in the pews or joining other ministries. But we had been prepared by our instructor named Minister Kimberly Baker that the attacks from the enemy were coming harder and longer the closer we got to the finish line. Minister Baker reminded that we were going to be teachers of the Word of God and that in order to do that we are going t

More In the Wind

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we are in the Year of the Wind based on Exodus 14:21 and Acts 2:2-4 and the month of More In March based on Exodus 1:9-12 and 2nd Peter 1:19-21 I want to share something with everyone. I was walking to work one day and it was one of the coldest days of the year. One this particular day it was very windy and I actually did not feel like going to work at all. As a matter of fact I was going to go in and hope the person I was relieving and I was going to turn around and go back home. The closer I got to work the wind picked up to where I could hardly walk. Then much to my surprise there was a ten dollar bill that the wind blew right at me. Then there was a five dollar bill and then finally a dollar bill. After the one dollar bill the money stop coming from the direction the wind was blowing. But I could not stop walking in the direction of the wind because there might hav

Good morning and Happy Friday. Brand new month. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue to be in the Year of the Wind based on Exodus 14:21 and Acts 2:2 I am just happy that I have made it thus far. This year we have already Published in January based on Psalm 26:7 and Luke 8:39 about how great God is. And then we Loosed in February based on  Joshua 5:15, Judges 15:14 and Mark 11:4-5 to free ourselves from some things and loose other things on the world. On this the 60th day of the year 2013 I think back to time that my Godmother Emma Patton was living. Ms. Patton was the sweetest woman outside of my family that I had ever known. When I was younger I would spend the night over her and Rev. R. H. Patton's house and she would make the best fried chicken in the world. My piece of choice was drumsticks and she always would make them for me. When my plate was clear she would never ask was I full. She would always attempt to more on my plate. I
