Brand new week, Brand new attitude

Good morning and Magnificent Monday. As we finish up the teachings in the month of Favor In September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 there is something I want to share with all. I work in the Security field and as a Doorman. I started off working in a high school in the south suburbs as security who saw a need to not holler at the children but give them something to grow on so I begin to give them a positive word for the day. I then went to work as security at UPS where I stood on the corner of on 14th and Union and waved to passing cars and said good morning so much that I had many regulars that looked forward to that. I went to 175 W. Jackson as a security officer and used phrases like brand new week, brand new attitude and you are will have a better than before and encouraged over 5000 people daily. In none of these situation could I mention the name of Jesus but because of him I Increased in Favor. Before I get into the Biblical portion of this

As we continue in the month of Favor in September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 there was a time where I worked in a building in the downtown Chicago area. The building was located in he Financial District of Chicago and it had about 4,000 employees that worked for different companies in this building. It is also used as a building by commuters who get off the two train lines by the building to get to their jobs in the downtown Chicago area. It gets cold at times here in Chicago and people took this as a way to beat the elements. As I worked in the lobby as a Security Officer at the building I would say "Good Morning Everybody" or if I worked the afternoon I would say "Great Job everyone". But to some in my department they took it as I acting as individual rather than a team player. The plot was on to get rid of me. I was beginning a time of Favor of Your Enemies. As we continue in the month of Favor in September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 each month I do a teaching that does not deal with the theme of the month. This teaching is personal to me because it involves me personally. See while I have been teaching the Word of God I have also been doing something that was not of God or his teachings. See for the last year I had been estranged from my ex-girlfriend as we broke up. And I have had a budding friendship with someone whom I really like. But even though me and my ex-girlfriend were estranged to people who were looking on the outside I really had still been seeing her even though she had a boyfriend and I was in a budding friendship/relationship. I can only blame myself. It is part of what the Evil That Men Do. See I was connected to my ex for many many years. One of the connections that we

As we continue in the month of Favor  In September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 I was talking to my Father ( pictured on the left with me) on yesterday and he told me something that disrupted my spirit. He was talking to my Uncle Joe and my uncle asked my Father what happened to me. My Uncle was telling my Dad that when I was growing up I was a gifted child. My Dad concurred and told him that although it seemed like I could read when I was younger my Dad saw that I had a great memory. It was expected that I would be like my Dad and Uncle Joe who graduated from high school in their early teens. But my life did not go as many expected it to go. I in a sense became the poster child that showed how things could change from good to worst. Although my Uncle Joe did not come out and say it I knew that at one time I had Fell Out of Favor ( Because I Failed to Follow Instructions ). In the Word of God there are many exa

As we continue in the month of Favor in September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 I want to talk to those today that are in a position that is not of their own making. We cannot get ahead, see the finish line, and/or receive relief from the pressures we are in because of certain things. Some of us have people that continue to place blame on others because this a convenient way to justify their actions. You have some people who make decisions that benefits themselves but in doing so place others in peril. And then you have those who run roughshod over folk and then laugh at the predicament they have placed them in. These are examples of being placed in a sort jail not of or own doing. But we as people of faith must remember that even though it may not seem possible we have Favor In a Prison ( And More ). We all are going through some thing

As we continue in the month of Favor in September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 I want to go back to a time when I was younger and went to the amusement park as a teen. During these times I usually was boo'd up ( had a girlfriend) and we walked around the amusement park all day. We rode the Roller Coasters and the Spinning Cups. We rode the ride where the floor drops and we also rode the water rides ( Ragin Rapids is still the best). We sat down and ate the picnic lunch we brought to the park outside by the vehicle we came in because of how high the food was (still is) and the amusement park would not allow outside food in. But as young man my main responsibility was to make sure that I won the female I was with a stuffed animal. If I did not do this I considered myself as a failure as I could allow my girlfriend to go home with nothing. She could Never Be Empty Handed. So as the time approached for me begin the g

As we continue in the month of Favor in September based on Exodus 3:19-21, Proverbs 8:32-35 and Luke 2:51-52 and the Year of Healing based on Jeremiah 33:6-9, Matthew 9:6-8 and Acts 28:7-9 there is so much going on in the world today. Over in the Middle East there is something referred to as ISIS that is causing chaos and confusion to the people over there. In America there is a war among the Democrats and the Republicans that at times has caused this country to come to a standstill that does little to help anyone. In my city of Chicago the senseless shootings and other crimes continue to almost hold the citizenry hostage. We seek and want a resolution to all of these issues and turn to the our God who is strong and mighty and able to provide not only a healing but Favor In a Healing. Although the situation looks bleak at times with other issues such as unemployment, hunger and hatred

Good afternoon all and Sensational Saturday. Brand new month. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we begin the second half of this year 2014 and begin the fiscal year 2014/2015 I want to go back over themes we have had.We have Moved In January, Notifications in February  We then Marched  and then there was Don't In April  and celebrated Mothers In May. There was Fiscal Year End in June and Going Global in July. Last month we taught about being Visually Impaired in August. It seemed like when I was going in one direction with the theme for this month when something happened and a Word from God came to me. I was walking down the street on my way to get on the bus to go get me a polish sausage sandwich. In looking at the bus tracker I did not see a black SUV getting ready to come into a parking lot of a store I had to pass. Something told me to jump back and I began a person instead of a victim. That was the favor of God. This month we all can expec
