I Will Not Bow Down

Good morning and Marvelous Monday. As we continue in the month of For Such a Time As This based on Esther 2:7-9, 3:2-3,5 and 4:10-11,13-14, I grew up with the thing that most of the young people today are growing up with and that is peer pressure. Peer pressure had me doing things that like skipping school, having an attitude toward any establishment and wanting less of myself. Now imagine the youth that not only has peer pressure but the pressures of not having enough, not having a parent involved in their upbringing, not having an equal chance. It seems to the youth that does not have anything, the only thing to do is bow down and give in. We as the people of God must step in and give them hope and the desire to say, I Will Not Bow Down.
See the young people who have little to nothing are looking for a way out. Yes you have many success stories about how people have made it out of these dire situations and we should applaud
them. But how about the young man who's only option to help his Mom is to sell drugs. Or the young lady who sees sex as her way out. Or those who's perception of success is a big car and popping bottles. Without guidance they will become just a statistic. Our job is to give them strategies where they can say, I Will Not Bow Down. This teaching will be coming from the second base scripture of the month, Esther 3:2-3,5.
As we come into the Word of God for this teaching of I Will Not Bow Down I begin in Esther 3:2. In this verse we meet Haman, who has so much power in the kingdom that everyone who sees hin bows
in his presence, all except Mordecai. We as the people of God have to get in these communities and let the young people who want a better life than selling drugs, God can bring them into better. I Will Not Bow Down.
As we continue with this teaching of I Will Not Bow Down we go to the Word of God and Esther 3:3. In this verse we see where the people who are around Mordecai wonder why he is being difficult.
In these poorer areas that young lady is being pressured to begin to be like everyone else and have sex as to them there is no other way. We as the people of God need to come into these places and let these young ladies know God has a way out for them. I Will Not Bow Down.
Coming to end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of I Will Not Bow Down I go to Esther 3:5. In this verse the act of Mordecai not bowing or acknowledging him, made Haman angry. The gangs see
these young men and women and will recruit them to do their dirty work like deal drugs, sell their bodies and even shoot at their perceived enemies and offer money and popping bottles in the club as the way. We as the people of God have to be outsider who lets them know that God loves them and they do not have to give up. I Will Not Bow Down.
In conclusion there is a lot of work to do. One of the key factors in the violence of today is a lack of an option. Peer pressure is something that most of us have had to go through. Now imagine that you have to deal with the pressure of being poor and the stakes are now raised higher. Without a commitment by the Body of Christ to go in these places and be seen and offer a different way, things will remain the same or worse. I see it because I live on a block where the only person the youth see as role models are those who sell drugs. We have to come and give them the way for the to say. I Will Not Bow Down. I pray to God that denominations can put aside their differences and become as one, For Such a Time As This. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and ask him to bless those who have not very much. Please go to Rhema Word 2.0 and check out the Review of the Sunday School lesson by Superintendent Liz Hope. And please come back here on Thursday for a teaching called Strengthen Ourselves in the Lord. Have a great week all.
