Good afternoon and Happy Friday. As we continue in the month of For Such a Time Such As This based on Esther 2:7-9, 3:2-3,5 and 4:10-11, 13,14, there is a disconnect between the people of my era and the youth of today. Our values centered on the church, working and family. The youth of today values are centered on instant gratification, hustling to survive and a fractured family unit. What we see as God's blessings they see as karma. What we know that is a covering of the blood of Jesus they call it fate that they were not shot or shot and lived to see another day. What we see as a family consisting of both parents they see single parents who are referred to as baby mama or baby daddy. We judge the youth harshly we they need The 3 E's from us (For Such A Time As This).
The youth of today live in a world where no one understands them unless you speak their language. To them our values and mission is outdated and played out. They cannot see that God is watching
over them and the message we give them is one of disdain and not wanting to see their points. We can make a difference in their lives if we seek to give them the 3 E's (For Such A Time As This).
As I begin this teaching of The 3 E's let me go to the word of God and Acts 20:1. In this verse we see where Pual EMBRACES his disciples after there had been troubles in the previous place there were
at. If we want to begin to understand ways to reach them we have to embrace them and show them love as way to get them to open up a productive dialogue with them. The 3 E's (For Such A Time As This).
As we continue this teaching of The 3 E's I go to the Word of God and continue in Acts 20:2-3. In these verses Paul ENCOURAGES the men who had stayed with them and they spread the gospel for
three months, until there were plots by those who did not want to hear the message of Christ. In order to really become connected to the youth there is going to need a effort to encourage them so that we can continue to build a dialogue with them. The 3 E's (For Such A Time As This).
In coming to end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of The 3 E's I go to Acts 20:4-5. In these verses we see Paul has ENTREATED these men to come with him to Asia but to also wait until he
arrives in Troas. We have to entreat or ask the youth what is it that they need from us to have the dialogue between us remain open and to fix the divide that is there. The 3 E's (For Such A Time As This).
In closing we as the Body of Christ need to exhibit The 3 E's in order to change the belief in karma, fate and the dissolution of the family. EMBRACING the youth is needed as most of them need love or need to be heard. ENCOURAGING the youth is needed as they need to know despite the odds being against God can make a way out of no way. ENTREATING is needed for we have to ask what they are lacking in their lives to reach for their dreams and goals. If it was not for The 3 E's I would not be in a better position than where For Such a Time As This. Paul saw a need and gave his people The 3 E's after a rough time. Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. This past month I was riding with my friend Angela Francis. On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. When you attempt to write you sometimes get writer's block and need to get to a different atmosphere ( Hmmm Writer's Block may be a blog soon LOL ). The other reason I wanted to go to the forest preserve is because it was hot that day and I needed some shade. So as I approached the forest preserve I put on my left turn signal and waited for traffic coming southbound to clear. After

Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word.
