Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue in the month of It Shall in October I often times like to venture away from the theme and have something to write about that God has put on my spirit. So as he holidays are getting closer I want to tell you a little about a subject I know. As a person who is a doorman/security officer one of my main responsibilities is to make sure that no steals anything from the company/building I am working at. Most of the times the ones who have bad intentions on their minds are not alone. When you work in pairs ( or more ) you can get more, distract people and provide a extra set(s) of eyes to help you get away with a crime. Many of us who profess the love of Christ can see the tricks of the enemy but he never works alone. It Is Always a Pair ( Or More ).
In the world we live in there are people who have little to nothing. I am just not talking about material things but also self control. In order to get food, drugs or money they take the easy way out and take
from any and every one. The enemy knows in order to distract us from our ministry and our jobs of bringing souls to Christ it will not be just a loss of job, but foreclosure or a cheating spouse/significant other. Maybe we are disappointed in a court case and our child is doing bad in school. Maybe we are being made fun of in social media or in the church. Our television show is failing as well as our business. We are addicted to drugs, alcohol, porno, the lottery and many other vices. We often see the main thing wrong but there is always something else the devil has placed before us that we cannot. It Is Always in Pairs ( Or More ) that he does his best work. In the next three paragraphs I will use three examples in the Word of God to show how the enemy does this.
In the first example in the Word of God I want to go to Numbers 13:25-33. In this passage we see where the twelve men went out to the land that God promised them. They came back with a great
report of how the land was good land. But they were scared of the giants of the land. All but Caleb and Joshua persuaded the people not to go. Many of us want to be successful in social media or religion but the enemy places doubt that we see and then places uncertainty that we do not see. It Is Always a Pair ( Or More ).
In the next passage in the Word of God I go to Ezra 4:1-6. In this passage we see where the building of the temple is being done and there are others, adversaries want to stop the building of the temples.
Many times when we are building our businesses, or trying to improve he education process or in the final stages of our arts and entertainment projects the enemy puts fear in our hearts that we know about but also lack of trust in ourselves that we cannot see. It Is Always a Pair ( Or More ).
In the final example of It Is Always a Pair ( Or More ) I look in the Word of God and I go to Mark 14:1-2, 10-11. In these scriptures Not only do the chief priests and scribes want to put Jesus to death
but Judas as well. When we see that something is wrong in our government and we attempt to change the laws or we want to fix how our families are being raised the enemy has many tricks. We can see how we may be placed on a watch list but we did not see the divorce coming. It Is Always in Pairs ( Or More ).
In closing we know that God is ever present will fight any battles we have ( Isaiah 48:12-13). We know that Jesus is always there for us ( Revelation 1:8 ). And we know that the Holy Spirit is always with us as well. ( Acts 2:2-4). So we have a Trinity working for us that offsets the pairs or more. We can affect that I mentioned earlier because we have them working for and through us in every situation. Pay attention and stay prayed up. The enemy is not coming alone. It Is Always a Pair.
