Heart Transplant

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Though we are still in the month of I'm About That Life in October, once a month I teach about a subject other than theme of the month. I am as a teacher of faith have one problem that bothers me somewhat. As most of you know that I stay in Chicago and in my city there is a lot of things going on. There are several blocks in my city that have been taken over by gang members who sell drugs and shoot guns with reckless abandon. There are still women who walk up and down the streets selling their bodies for little money. And then there is the lack of respect of the youth whose actions are getting more bold and disrespectful. Although I cannot fix everything I just mentioned there is more than I could do. I need God to give me something that I do not seem to have. I need a Heart Transplant.
In 1967 the first human heart transplant was done by  Dr. Christaan Barnard on a patient named Louis Washkansky. Mr. Washkansky could not have the procedure done without a heart being donated to
him. We as a people of faith have been too passive on doing our assignment of advancing the kingdom and may need to ask God to give us something that is much needed, a Heart Transplant.
As I go into the Word of God to begin this teaching of Heart Transplant I an going to begin in Ezekiel 11:16-17. In these verses God is speaking to the people of Israel who have been taken captive by the
Babylon people. We today have gang members who have seemed to take over our freedom to even to walk outside or sit on our porch without gunfire. But as said in these verses God will provide sanctuary. He will give us a Heart Transplant.
In continuing this teaching of Heart Transplant from the Word of God I go to Ezekiel 11:18. In this verse God tells Ezekiel that even though the people of God are in a strange land they are there to
change the wicked ways that are happening. We have a problem with the ladies of night doing their work when we are supposed to be the ones offering them a different way, a Heart Transplant.
In finishing in the Word of God of the teaching of Heart Transplant I go to Ezekiel 11:19-20. In this passage God tells Ezekiel that he will not only give the people of God a clean heart but if they walk
in his statutes and keep his judgments he will be our God and we his people. God can help us change how the youth are acting if we allow do the work of the kingdom. We can help them with a Heart Transplant.
In conclusion many of us are in need of a Heart Transplant including myself. We cannot let the gang members be the rulers of the neighborhoods. We cannot let our children especially young women see that selling their bodies is a viable option when things are not going well. We cannot allow our youth to do any and everything. We need a Heart Transplant. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and ask him to bless those who read this or even those who do not read this. Have a great week all. Please join me Saturday for my teaching called My House Will Serve the Lord ( Because We Are About That Life).
