Now I See His Promises

Good morning and Happy Hump Day. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As I write this last blog in the month of Now In May based on Genesis 45:5, Exodus 4:12 and Mark 10:30 I want let you that in while I was yet a young boy, 13 years old I began a cigarette habit. In order to be cool and like the guys I emulated you had to have a cigarette in your mouth. And even the cigarette to smoke was KOOLS. After about two years I promised myself I was going to quit and I did. But when I turned 18 I started to smoke again. This again went on for about another 20 years. My cigarettes of choice then were Newports. One day I was sitting in my house and I decided that enough was enough and finally quit smoking. That day was also the day that I stopped smoking marijuana and also drinking. See even though I promised myself before there and even now there is always a possibility that I can break my promises. When God sent his son Jesus into the world we could then see the promises of God on the earth. It took me a while to get a vision but Now I Can See His Promises.
In keeping up with tradition I look up the main word of the blog and that is promised and of course I go to my source of which is dictionary.com. Promises means a follows; a declaration something will be done, an
expressed assurance on which expectation is based, and an indication of future excellence. So in closing out this theme for the month I am going to go the last base scripture, Mark 10:30 and go to earlier scriptures to explain why Now I See His Promises.

In beginning of Now I See His Promises I go to Mark 10:13-16. In this passage the disciples attempt to keep the children away from Jesus. But Jesus wants the children to come to him as he wants to be able to
bless them. Jesus makes a declaration of something will be done. If you accept him as a child you will see the Kingdom of God. We must allow of children to the promises by living the life he wants to lead and then we are living testimonies of his promises. Now I See His Promises.

In the next example of Now I See His Promises I go to Mark 10:17-25. In this passage there comes a wealthy man to Jesus who wants inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him the law and the man says he already does
this, even as a youth. Then Jesus tells him to share all his wealth with the poor. This troubles the man as it also troubles many of us. Share our wealth? Me?  I aint got time for that. But Jesus tells of of an expected assurance that this is expected of us to not only inherit eternal life but to have a great life here on Earth. Now I See His Promises.

In looking at the last example of Now I See His Promises I go to Mark 10:298-30. We see where Peter tells Jesus they have left all to follow him. Jesus them tells Peter and the others that when you do this, follow
you will not only receive things a hundredfold but also there is going to be persecution as well. Jesus gives an indication of future excellence of life that will be better than ever on earth, eternal life after, but also people who may want to see you suffer. Now I See His Promises.
In closing we all can see the promises of God just by being able to awake each and everyday. We can see the promises of God if you are able to read this blog because that means you have access to the Internet. You can see the promises of God as your children see you as an example of good living. You can see the promises of God as you share your wealth, not just in money but also in wisdom and knowledge. You can see the promises of God as you have those who may not want to see you prosper but you do anyway. I thank God for sending his son Jesus to die for all of our sins because Now I See His Promises. May God bless all those who read this blog and I give God all the glory. Amen. Great job by all this month. Join me Sunday for the theme of next month. Have a safe and blessed weekend. Love you all and more.
