Loose Lips

Good morning everyone. As we continue in the month of Loose In February based on Joshua 5:15, Judges 15:14 and Mark 11:4-5 I look at a something that has been going on for a long time. Many have children and those who do not have family members that have children. We love our children when they are infants as we dress them, feed them and nurture them at this age. There is nothing they could do wrong at this age. We also love our parents as they have taken care of us all of their lives, loving on us, showing how to be adults and even going that extra mile for their grandchildren. What I have noticed is that once children reach a certain age and start thinking in ways that differ from us we say that they will never amount to nothing. Or when are parents get old and can hardly take care of themselves we act like this is a burden. Often times when you say or speak something it comes into existence because God hears all. We have see the good in everybody or we can watch the youth and our seniors waste away as we continue to speak ill of all of them. There is a saying called Loose Lips. This is the subject of this blog.

In our world today we tend to take a negative look at most things. If our coworker is having lunch brought to her daily by a friend some people take is as they must be doing something. If you receive an award or
recognition you have people look at you funny. You may even play sports and have a teammate who may have better game than you and your reaction is to say something negative. In these times we little money but can give a heap of encouragement. In these times we look to see where is the love when our hearts should be open to all and many. In these times we seek God as we look past others. We have become a society of Loose Lips. In the next three paragraphs I will use three examples of the from the Bible of people who had Loose Lips.

In looking in the Bible the first of example Loose Lips we look in Numbers 16:12-14 Dathan and Abriam began complain about Moses and refuse to even listen him. The even talk of Egypt, a land where were held
captive as being the land of milk and honey. Many times we tune out the seniors in our lives as they know nothing. No matter what race creed or nationality they have a vast amount of knowledge that we can learn from. We must tap into this knowledge base in order to find plans and strategies of how they made it out of their situations. We must take time to talk to our seniors and even make sure that they are ok in their time of rest. We see in Numbers 16:24-34 we see what happened to the men who spoke against Moses. Loose Lips.

In looking at the second example in the Bible I go to 2nd Samuel 13:1-5 where see the story of Amnon and Tamer. In looking at this scripture one would overlook the Loose Lips in this story. The person behind the
plot is Jonadab. See our young people have people all in their ears telling that sex is cool and having guns is needed for protection and they all want to be cool. Then they come home and we get on them about how they dress and how they will be ever be nothing. We need to educate our youth before the make the mistake of Amnon ( verse 6-15 ). Our youth are our future. They need us to understand not constantly criticize. Loose Lips.

In looking at the last example of Loose Lips in the Word of God I go to Acts 17:16-32. The Apostle Paul is in Athens Greece. Even though the Greeks were under Roman rule they still were able to practice their
worship of their gods and goddesses. Paul spirit was stirred when he saw what was happening there. In the world today we have so much stuff going on but we just look at each other waiting for someone to act. In order to have a plan for the youth and the seniors we have to have a plan for ourselves. There are going to be people who will not believe you when you tell them what God gas done, how Jesus died for our sins and how the Holy Spirit lives in all of us. You can either keep it moving or go with the status quo and be part of the Loose Lips.

In closing we have to develop a thicker skin to deal with the naysayers. Do you know how many times that when I tell people I have changed that they could not believe it. I wanted to only deal with one senior citizen and that is my Grandma. I did not have time for any children especially mine because I was doing me. And people in my age range either loved me or hated me which the opposite is true. I would never amount to nothing. NOTHING. I was on that path but Loose Lips sinks ships or so they say but they will never sink me nor should they ever sink you. We still Champions even in the Year of the Wind.
