Portrait of a Champion

Good morning everyone. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As the summer months get into full swing I just wanted to introduce everyone to some one they should know. This person is what many would call a leader in his/her profession. This person would be aware of his enviroment as it changes and would adapt to the changes. This person  looks as themselves as being succesful no matter if they are the CEO of the biggest corporation or the person who may be out of work now. This person is pleased with their appearence no matter how the world views them. This person is well versed doing things like motivating and encouraging while keeping a positive attitude and leaving the negative out. This person stands out in a crowd and can also move a crowd. This person is goal oriented and sets out to be on his/her A game each time they step out of the house. This person is the subject of this blog called the Portrait of a Champion.

It is a great feeling being a Champion. You are respected by not only your peers but others as well. When you step out into the world you are recognized by all. When you go to eat there are cameras all around who want to take your pictures. There are restaurants who would pay you to just to come in and have a meal at the best table in the house. There are people in government who want to honor you for being a Champion. Everywhere you go no matter where you go people recognize you for being a Champion. Your voice is a Champion's voice. Your walk is Champion's walk. Your attitude is that of a Champion. And the best thing about being a Champion is that once you are a Champion you are always a Champion. Yes you may lose your championship belt in boxing but you will be called the former Champion. Yes in basketball you may not win multiple titles but you will always be asscociated as being a Champion. In the spelling bee you may have lost after winning at the spelling bee the year before but you are still referred to as Champions. As believers of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we all are Champions. We may have lost some battle but never the less we are forever Portraits of a Champion.

In order to really see what a Portrait of a Champion really is let us look to Dictionary.com to see what the meanings of the words portrait  and champion. The meaning of the word portrait is; a likeness of a person, espeicially of face, as a painting, drawing or photgraph; a verbal picture or description usually of a person. The word champion means a person who has defeated all opponents in a competition. anything that takes first place in competition; a person who fights or defends any person or cause. In the Bible I see the likeness of a person who has defeated all his competition with the help of God as Joshua ( Joshua 1:1-10 ). In the Bbile I see the face of one who takes first place in any compettion as Jesus Christ. ( Matthew 4:1-10). Also in the Word I see a verbal description of someone who defends a person or cause as the Holy Spirit ( Acts 4:31-37). As believers of the Word the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are reasons that we are portraits of a Champion.

Now as we bask in the knowledge of being Champions some of us are well versed in other areas than most. We have Champions who are  described in Ephesians 4:11 ( I got to mention Apostle H.D. Wilson ). We have Champions who can sing. We have Champions that can write. We have Champions that can rap. We have Champions who can dance. We have Champions who can pray things out of your lives. We all have a Champion niche. Some may not be strong as others, that is why we have weight classes. I am a lightweight when it comes to prayer ( Please pray for me in that area ) a middleweight when it comes to writing blogs ( still working out the spelling errors RJ ) and a heavyweight when it comes to motivating and encouraging ( I believe there is nothing we cannot do if we put our mind to it ). I was at a function that featured voice lessons and my family member Cassandra Giles of Chicago Mass Choir asked what I was doing there as she knew I did not have a voice to sing as I once did . She told me nicely to stay in my lane. We all are Portraits of a Champion but please recognize the areas you excel at. This can be a help of spreading the Gospel of Christ.

As I mentioned in the first paragraph I said there was a person who was the subject of the blog and that person is you. I place this picture frame in this blog for a reason. It is time we as Christians affect areas such as education, entertainment, media, business, government, the arts, religion and epescially family. So I am asking those who want to be Champions to effect change in  the area of education place your picture in the frame. For those who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of entertainment place your picture in the frame. For those who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of media place your picture in the frame. For those of you who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of business place your picture in the frame. For those of you who want to be Champions in the area of government place your picture in the frame. For those who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of the arts place your picture in the frame. For those of us who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of religion place your picture in the frame. And finally for those who want to be Champions to effect change in the area of famliy place your picture in the frame. In Deuteronomy 6:1-15 gave us the plan for the Portait of a Champion and in Luke 9:1-6 is how to make sure your Portait of a Champion can activate and change these areas. Give yourself a big hug. You just did a self Portrait of a Champion. May God bless the blog I just shared with you. Once again you can check me out on twitter @brandnewfwes. I am also on blogtalk radio with archived shows ( doing one tomorrow called Holy Warriors ). I am a writer for thegeekchicmag.com as well. You can be my friend on facebook. Join me for my blog on Monday called Winning in July ( My theme for the month ). Special thanks to Minister Kim Baker, Brenda Tolar, the late Elder Fred McCoy, Elder Della Major, Pastor R. Lowery, Pastor George Robinson and the whole Kingdom Keys Ministry for helping and presenting me with a Teachers Training Certificate.
