Good afternoon all and Thankful Thursday. Brand new month. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we begin the second half of this year 2014 and begin the fiscal year 2014/2015 I want to go back over themes we have had.We have Moved In January, Notifications in February We then Marched and then there was Don't In April and celebrated Mothers In May. There was Fiscal Year End in June and Going Global in July. You would think that we as a people of faith would have gone and made a bigger difference in the world. But it is hard to do when our children as well as adults are seeing programs that promote arguing and cursing one another out. When popping bottles, money and sex is the main part of the music scene, When you see game shows that used to be free of sexual content now are part this nonsense. It seems that the entire world has forgotten about family values and the love God. We Are Visually Impaired in August.
In looking up the word visually impaired I go to the source of my definitions and that is dictionary.com. The phrase means as follows; ( of a person) having reduced vision so severe as to constitute a handicap. So as
we allow the world to be able to entertain and educate us as well ( to some people television, movies and music are their reality) the Word of God is getting lost and we are becoming Visually Impaired. The next three paragraphs are going to share the base scriptures for the month.
The first base scripture in the theme of the month of Visually Impaired from the Word of God is coming from Job 29:11-16. In this passage of scriptures Job speaks of how he took it upon himself to make a difference
in the lives of those who were lost. People of God we know that the enemy is making things seem like money controls the world and he is doing a great job. We as the people of God have to come up with strategies to combat this to help the Visually Impaired and not become part of them.
In going to second base passage of scriptures in the theme of Visually Impaired in August I go to the Word of God and to Mark 8:22-25. We see where those who knew what Jesus could do brought some one that
could not see to Jesus and Jesus was able to heal him so see could see. They world is blinded by popping bottles and all kind of other foolery that is contrary to the teachings of Jesus. Unless we come into action the world will continue to be Visually Impaired.
In looking at the last base scripture in the teachings of Visually Impaired I go to the Word of God and Revelation 3:14-19. In this passage speaks to the Laodicean church on how it is not doing the work of the
God that is required because it is lukewarm. We as a the people of God have to do more in the way of not becoming Visually Impaired so that we can change how the world sees the kingdom of God.
In closing there is so much going on that we as the people of God cannot ignore. Do we continue to let money, drugs, alcoholism and sex be part of the educating and entertaining of not only ourselves but our youth? Are our family values based on fame, fighting and arguing? Are our politicians guiding us is such a way that God would approve? Are our business plans or social media ideas and postings representative of being a part of the kingdom of God? Is our religion making us not see what needs to be changed? Are we to stay Visually Impaired in August or do we seek sight from the Messiah and guidance from the Holy Spirit. We shall see hopefully. A play on words. Lol. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and prayerfully we all can come together. On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. When you attempt to write you sometimes get writer's block and need to get to a different atmosphere ( Hmmm Writer's Block may be a blog soon LOL ). The other reason I wanted to go to the forest preserve is because it was hot that day and I needed some shade. So as I approached the forest preserve I put on my left turn signal and waited for traffic coming southbound to clear. After

Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word.
