When in the Wind

Good morning and Happy Thursday. As  most of you know this is the Year of the Wind based in Exodus 14:21 and Acts 2:2-4. This month is also themed When In June Based on Psalms 73;3, 1st Corinthians 13:11 and Matthew 17:8. I stay in Chicago which is nicknamed the Windy City. In the building that I work at as a doorman this building is located right by the Chicago River. The street the building is located on is a street that curves about a few yards before it gets to my building. This curve causes massive winds when you are walking towards the building from the south because in Chicago most times the wind comes from the north. When the temperatures are below zero and I will not have a car until December I have to prepare myself and dress a little warmer to combat the wind conditions. Now no matter how much I try or the residents of the building tries we all have to feel that wind as we approach the building. We as a people of faith have prepare ourselves for When in the Wind.

In our lives we all want to accomplish things that seem out of the ordinary. Some of us wants to be successful movie makers even though we work as a clerk. Some of us want to be a business person even as
we now sit at home doing nothing. Sometimes are dreams are stagnant because God has not been allowed in them. We are doing things in our lives that are not right and God is not pleased. We cannot understand but God is a jealous God and wants our full attention and if he cannot get it he will get our attention When in the Wind.

I want to go in the Word of God and to Lamentations 1:6. In this particular passage the prophet Jeremiah who is attributed to writing this book in the Bible, tells of how the greater times of Israel and Judah are now
a thing of the past. How could such a great land full of God's people not prosper and fall to the wayside. It was because of what they did while free and God was not pleased. When we are not doing things right God cannot bless us especially When in the Wind of sinful things.

In looking in the Word of God I go to Lamentation 2:1-9. This continues the theme about how God was not happy with his people and he turned the land inside and out by allowing the enemies to prosper and take
over some good fertile land that had a beautiful place to worship and full of God's people. Yes most of are involved in church but are lives are in flux because of what we do on the outside of the church. We have to go through what we do When in the Wind of doing things is not pleasing to God.

I go to the Word of God one more time in this blog and go to Lamentations 3:21-31. In this passage Jeremiah lets us know that all is not ever lost when you are covered and under the protection of God. He
may allow us to be without or in despair for a season or even a year but when we allow our lives to be completely taken over by God all turns out better. He will allow the greater things even When in the Wind,
In closing God wants to be able to use us but sometimes we are like Psalms 73:3 or need to grow up like in 1st Corinthians 13:11. He wants to  look up and see the great things like in Matthew 17:8. He wants to have a wind come in our lives like in Exodus 14:21 and Acts 2:2-4. He wants your arts and entertainment to prosper, your business to open, you to get involved in government and education, to write that social media blog, to make a difference in your family and to affect how people look at religion as my blog is read in many countries and growing in readership because I did not give up When in the Wind and only a few actually read it. I ask God to cover all who read this blog and cover them with protection even When in the Wind. I give God all the glory and honor as he is using me as his vessel. Please join me for my next blog called Mind Power. Have a great weekend.
