Beauty and the Beast

Good evening and Marvelous Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue these teachings of Adjustments in April based on Jeremiah 30:1-3 and Luke 20:5-7 most of the people who know me in the job settings where I have worked will probably tell you that I am the nicest person that they have ever met. The name of this blog came from me encouraging people in the hallway of 175 W Jackson and telling them it is brand new week to accomplish what you may not have gotten done already. As a doorman, insurance agent., and other places I have worked consumers and customers and residents have gotten the best of me. But for those family members who truly love me and that is including my parents, sons, and siblings, for they are the closest to me as far as being related, I treated them like crap, no kind words for them. I was in a sense a Beauty and a Beast.
You see I had more love for those people who I really did not know, and had no love for those I did  know. I did not disrespect my family members with words but with my actions. I have a lovely

family and even have a legacy of land waiting for me but I could not appreciate the beauty of what they had for me because I was full of a beast. Beauty and the Beast.
As we come into the Word of God for this teaching I want to go to Ezekiel 16:15. In this verse the people of God are on the verge of losing everything as the beauty God gave them, they used to
promote themselves and in doing that they became the beast. I thought that the girls and the drugs and gambling were more important than my family and that is not right in the eyes of God. Beauty and the Beast.
In continuing the teaching of Beauty and the Beast we come back to Ezekiel 16:16. In this verse the people of God are still worshipping idols at the high places that God did not sanction them to do. I 
took the love that my parents and siblings had for me and gave my love to the women who I would be with or my friends who I hung out with. Beauty and the Beast. 
As we come to the conclusion of this teaching of Beauty and the Beast I go back to the Word of God and to Ezekiel 16:17. In this verse the people of God took the things that God gave them and used 
to create idols for them to worship to which was not what God intended for them to do. I looked at the things in my life what I thought was important and forgot about my family. Beauty and the Beast.

In conclusion there are many of us who love others and treat their family members like crap. How can that be? Many of us say we love God but treat other members of the Body of Christ like a leper. How is that? God gave us all he could to make us all beautiful, inside and out. But for most of us the beast in us does not allow us to love the family member who betrayed us. The sister who beat you out of your money.  The brother who slept with your girlfriend. The parents who did not let you move back in when you did not have no place to go. You have no love for them because of the beast that is taking over you. God is a God of beauty. I love my parents and my sons and do not want no parts of that beast any more. Be beautiful to all and tell the beast, which is not of God to let you be. Beauty is what I seek now and I am saying goodbye to the beast.

On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Growing up we used to love to take pictures. Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. Let The Rain Come Down

Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives.
