Being Punked

Good afternoon and Marvelous Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited.  As we continue in the month of Foreseeability in August based on Daniel 12:1-3, Zechariah 8:7-9 and Revelation 10:9-11 when I was coming up I was sent to a school in a another state because I was not acting accordingly to my parents rule. So when I went to this school there was a structure of things that I had to get used to. I could not go to be on the phone like I was used to. I could not go off campus to the store. And I could not go to bed when I wanted to. But what the made the transition even harder was that there was older students there with me who used to  intimidate me and at times push me around. I was afraid as I was too small to really fight back. As I look at the Body of Christ today we are big but do not really fight back, Like I was back then, the Body of Christ is Being Punked.

When I say that we are Being Punked it is easy to see that are the factors of religion are holding us back. We are still so structured in the way that we do things that any time we step away from the
norm we get chastised by our own brothers and sisters. It is gotten to the point like we are football team that runs the same plays over and over and when the defense stops us we still try the same thing. It is not working. We are Being Punked.
As we come into the Word of God for this teaching of Being Punked I go to Mark 3:1-2. In these verses we see where Jesus entered the church and his enemies watched him to see if would heal on
the Sabbath. Wow. Instead of wanting the man healed they wanted to accuse him of a crime. Today the Body of Christ has gotten so structured that we still have not come together to try to get prayer back in schools. We are Being Punked.
As we continue with this teaching of Being Punked I continue in the Word of God to Mark 3:3-4. In these verses Jesus tell the man to step forward and questions the crowd about how traditions are
keeping this man from being healed. There are so many times that if a church does not do communion on the 1st Sunday we leave and go elsewhere instead of reading the Word and seeing that we need to do it often in remembrance of Jesus. We are Being Punked.
As I come to the end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of Being Punked I go to Mark 3:5-6. In these verses Jesus gets angry and sad as his questioned was not answered and healed the man any
way. This made the Pharisees AND the Herodians angry. Today there are those that want to come to church in the clothes and hairstyles they feel comfortable in and they are looked at funny by the traditional Pharisees of today and sent back into the world to deal with the Herodians in the streets. We are Being Punked.
In conclusion we cannot let the Pharisees and Herodians of today continue to dictate to us the religious traditions that are holding us back. When I was at that school I fought back and although it was a losing cause I could not see me just allowing it to continue to happen. We have God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit  there for us so there should never be a time that the Body of Christ should be Being Punked. Let us get prayer back in school. Let's not make the Lord's Supper restricted to one day. Let us not be scared of allowing people in the church that need us to understand them, not criticize them. Let us stopped Being Punked. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and ask him to bless all. If you have a chance please go to Rhema Word 2.0 for a teaching called the 3 R's. Have a great week and please come back later this week for a teaching called. See Your Assignment based on the last base scripture of the month of August, Revelation 10:9-11.
