Hoarders ( Reflection of the people of God today)

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday. As we continue in month of Reflection and Projection in December based on Psalms 121:1-6, Philippians 1:19-23 and 2nd Timothy 4:6-8 I was talking to some one on yesterday and what the told me got me to thinking. The person told me that they went to visit a friend and the friend asked them to go the basement to get some things and the person agreed to do it. Once she got down there her friend immediately called for her to come back upstairs as the friend said she would get it herself. But it was too late because the person I know had already seen how the basement looked. There were boxes everywhere that had things filled with them from the Home Shopping Network and QVC. There was so much stuff that there was only small path that could be used to get from one end of the basement to the other. This person was a Hoarder. As Christians there are times when we act like this. Hoarders (Reflection on the people of God).
As we are get into this teaching I want to define the meaning of the word hoarders. I found the meaning on urbandictionary.com. Hoarders means anyone that feels the need to collect, keep  and
pack ANY and EVERYTHING because they do not know how to throw things away. We as Christians collect knowledge, keep blessings to ourselves and pack away anything that could help others. We have become Hoarders. ( Reflections of the People of God).
As we come into this teaching of Hoarders I go to the Word of God and to Matthew 25:18, 24-28. In these scriptures we see a man who has collected something from his Master and instead of trying to
do make it better for when the Master returned he hid it so no one else could find it. We, the people of God have been shown how to get things by serving God but we collect this information and are afraid of showing others. We are Hoarders. ( Reflection on the people of God today).
As continue in the teaching of Hoarders I go back in the Word of God and Luke 16:19-26. In this passage Lazarus has sat at then gate of the rich ruler who would not even give him the crumbs to eat
that fell from his table. We as a people of God continue to keep our way of receiving blessings to ourselves and hoard them as if letting some one no would take them away from you. Hoarders. ( The people of God today).
In looking at the last example from the Word of God I go to John 11:47-53. In these verses the Pharisees want to continue to pack power over the people in their day. They were afraid of how the
arrival of Jesus made people see who they really were. Today the people of God pack away power so that others that could use power cannot receive this either. We have become Hoarders. ( Reflection of the people of God).
In closing I look at myself as a Hoarder. When I hear about people or jobs that are hiring do I tell others. Many of us have heard the testimonies of how some people have gotten, free cars, mortgage paid and other miraculous things but have only shared with the people of God in there circle. How many people have their ideas about moving religion to the mainstream by the powers that be in the church. As a people of God, looking back and reflecting. we cannot collect information to advance the kingdom of God, we cannot keep how others can be blessed like we were. And we cannot pack away power to change the world. If we continue to do that we are and will be always, Hoarders. May God bless all those who read this and I give him all the glory and honor for this teaching. Please join me Monday for my teaching based on the last base scripture of the Year of Healing, Acts 28:7-9. called Healing in a Foreign Land. Have a great weekend all.
