Good morning and Magnificent Monday. Brand new week. Brand mew attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As this is still the month of Notification In February I still branch out each month once to a teaching that has been given to me that is not connected to the theme of the month. This month in looking at the Olympics and all the athletes who are competing to become gold, silver or bronze medalist in their sports there are some things that are not talked about. No matter how you try to regulate or even come up with elaborate testing there is going to be a individual, teams or even a the entire country of athletes who are going to cheat. Those who are cheating are using what they know call performance enhancement drugs ( PED ) to not only make their performance better but to also enhance the potential for bigger payday as medalist do, and to be always remembered. In being a lover of God, a believer of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit God does not condone the use of drugs but he has his own PED for those who know him. It is called Performance Enhancement Directive.
As Christians there are things that must be done to advance the kingdom of God that go beyond prayer, fasting and tithing which are very important but in these times where attention spans are short as new technology is constantly
changing we may have to come out of what has become a comfort zone and become actively entrenched in changing areas that should strongholds of the kingdom of God but now the enemy has made them his.But we can change this by seeing what God has for us with his PED ( Performance Enhancment Directive ).
In beginning the first example of PED let me begin by defining the word performance. It means as follows; the execution or accomplishment of works, acts, feats, etc. In looking at the Word of God in Genesis 22:1-, 2nd Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 6:7-8
and Matthew 8:2-3 there were works, acts and feats that happened because the performance of individuals.They all could have done their own thing but their performance changed situations. We today have to address our performance in our PED.
In this next paragraph I begin by defining the word enhancement which means as follows; to raise to a higher degree, intensify; magnify. We are at times lacking the will to raise our faith higher to a degree, intensify our drive and magnify the Lord. But as we look at Exodus the 14th Chapter, 1st Samuel 1:8-18, 1st Kings 3:10-
14, Daniel 6:10-23 and Acts the 9th Chapter we see where God will enhance you in ways that you could never imagine and will have you as his vessel to continue to advance his kingdom with his PED.
In coming to the last word in the PED God has for us I will define the word directive means as follows; an authoritative instruction or specific order. We as Christians all have an assignment to spread the gospel to each and every person and in ways that may not be conventional but needed to let the world know who God is. We see in
Exodus 2:2-17, Joshua 23:1-14, Matthew 10:5-26, Acts 18:9-11 and James 1:21-27. These directives are going to needed and adhered to advance the kingdom of God and retake strongholds that is of the Creator. This is God's PED's.
In closing each of us fall short in some area but have God as our strength. When we abide by the Performance Enhancement Directives we can change areas that seem to want to acknowledge God such as arts and entertainment, media, religion, business, education, government and family. We as Christians can not only use the scriptures I shared but also the pick up the Word of God and read and study as well. God will change the world but we have to be willing to perform his work, enhance his works and goodness among the world and do things as he has them ordered.
