Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Defending in December based on Acts the 7th chapter. As we move keep it moving in the year 2012 there are is always a value on being a success at something. If I was to turn on the television there would be books on how to succeed in the business world. Looking at the newspaper their are ads on how to succeed on getting a degree in education. On the Internet there are videos on how to become an entertainer or a person who paints portraits and succeed at it. On the social medias sites there are people who have the right diet plan for you to succeed. Our ancestors no matter where they came from struggled but the found a way for us to be in a position to succeed in our families. On the radio I have heard of a plan on how to make sure your church succeeds in these hard economic times. Some of these plans that say you can succeed have failed. But when you accept that the only way to God is thru our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and are filled with the Holy Spirit you have gone from a person who had a plan to succeed to being Empowered 2 Succeed.
Being Empowered to succeed is much like taking a faith walk but knowing that there is no obstacle that stands in your way. In looking up the word empowered in Dictionary.com I see it means as follows; to give power or authority to, to authorize, especially by legal or official means; to enable or permit. I am curious so I also look up the word succeed to see how they are link together.The word succeeds means; to turn out successfully, to thrive to happen, prosper, grow or the like; to accomplish what is intended. So in Genesis 2:7-15 God empowered all men when he created us. In John 19:28-30 God by sacrificing his son Jesus gave us a way to succeed. As I look at examples of being empowered to succeed I want to focus on 3 point. Being Empowered 2 Succeed in the past, the present and the future
This woman is a example of being Empowered 2 Succeed. Being one of 13 children she had to walk for miles to school in Atlanta, Texas. This woman whose father was part Cherokee was an excellent student despite the classroom lacking pens, pencils and chalk. At twelve was accepted into the Missionary Baptist Church even as the father left the family to move elsewhere. She was able to enroll in college ( Langston University ) in Oklahoma but that was not for her. She eventually moved to France after living in Chicago for a while and became the first Black woman in the world on June 15, 1921, to earn a aviation pilot's license. Ms. Bessie Coleman did not give up because she was empowered to succeed. In Judges 4:17-24 Jael was Empowered 2 Succeed by her actions. The past has proven we are Empowered 2 Succeed.
This man is the present example of being Empowered 2 Succeed. Growing up in Eatonton, Georgia he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He began a chain of restaurants called the Dwarf Grill in the state of Georgia and he and his brother Ben created a popular chicken sandwich. Belonging to First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia he has taught Sunday school for over 50 years, he is a billionaire who gives a lot of his money to charities, has written five books and his businesses are closed on Sunday, if franchised or company owned, in order to honor God. Mr. S Truett Cathy is Empowered 2 Succeed today In a time where it is not popular this man has given millions to anti-gay groups. In The 18th Chapter of 2nd Chronicles Micaiah takes a position that was not popular but he still was Empowered 2 Succeed by God so his words were true and factual. The present is proving we are empowered 2 succeed.
This assembly of young people the future of being Empowered 2 Succeed. These are the Christian who are future leaders and Champions for Christ. They are counting on us to provide ways to make the education systems across the world officially prosper so that they can look at the education system as a way out. They are looking to form businesses to enable them to accomplish what they set out to do. They are looking to better things in the arts and entertainment area as they want to authorize faith based programs to happen. They want social media to have the power to successfully tell things that ate faith based. They want us to see if we can by legal means thrive to have prayer put back into the schools as well as other faith based initiatives. They want to power to successfully have their voice heard in their family units. Too many times we hear them but do not listen to the youth. The youth also want the authority to grow and prosper things in the religious areas like how to maximize your smart phone ( Valley Kingdom Ministries International did this and it was a success ) and allowing Christian rap and dance into the churches. In Exodus 1:12 it tells of no matter how bad they tried to burden the children of Israel the perseverd.. In Matthew 18:1-6 Jesus talks about the youth and how humbling yourself as a child can have you Empowered 2 Succeed. Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. This past month I was riding with my friend Angela Francis. On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. When you attempt to write you sometimes get writer's block and need to get to a different atmosphere ( Hmmm Writer's Block may be a blog soon LOL ). The other reason I wanted to go to the forest preserve is because it was hot that day and I needed some shade. So as I approached the forest preserve I put on my left turn signal and waited for traffic coming southbound to clear. After

Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word.
