Defending In December ( Theme for the Month )

Good Morning and Happy Sunday. Brand new month. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we enter the month of December we have been prepared to finish the year strong. Throughout the year I have had themes for every month. Jubilee in January ( based on Leviticus 25:47-55 ).Freedom in February ( Black Historical facts ). Gone in March ( based on Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 ). Aha in  April ( John 6:60-66 ). May Flowers ( based on Leviticus 26:3-13 ). Just June ( based on Habakkuk 2:4, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38 ). Winning in July ( based on Joel 2:18-27 ). And I love you In August ( based on John 13:34-35 ). September of Gratitude ( based on 1st Samuel 7:9-12. All In October ( based on 2nd Kings 19:14-19 and the book of Isaiah 37:14-20 ). And Reign in November ( based on Luke 19:13-14 ). As we finish the year of This is Our/Your Year I wanted to have a theme that helped to hold on to everything we earned, accomplished and plan to finish this year. We all know the enemy will try to come in take away all that you have done any way he can. So based on the entire 7th chapter of the Book of Acts we are Defending in December.

In the based chapter for Defending in December we look at the faith of one Stephen in the Bible. Originally Stephen is introduced Acts 6:5 to settle disputes on the giving out of food to the poor Hebrews and the
Gentiles ( the Grecians in this Chapter ). Bit in verse 5 we see where Stephen is full of the Holy Spirit and soon he was able to do wonders and miracles among the people ( Acts 6:8 ). And as we see as we continue to look at Acts 6:9-15 he had those who disputed what he said but he held his ground. As we close out the year we are going to have people dispute any and everything that you have done. You are going to have the enemy come your way to convince you that you are nothing. And you may not want to finish what you planned for the year because you think it is too late. So in the next 3 paragraphs I am going to focus on 3 topics we should be Defending in December, what you have earned, what you have accomplished and what you have plan.

As we come into the last month of the year everything we have earned is going to come into question. We may have just graduated from school but wished continued or got a higher grade. We may have
made or saved a lot of money but we question how much we have spent or wasted. We may have earned favor or blessings from God but we still have others who say we have not. In Defending In December cherish everything that you have earned. In Ruth 2:2 Ruth we to work to earn her a meal and to find favor in Boaz. In Ruth 2:8-10 she cherished all the favor and blessings. In Acts 6:3 the disciples went to find honest men full of the Holy Spirit to put over the business of feeding folk. We have to defend the educational values that we were raised on so our children can earn better grades and money down the line. We must continue to respect  our elders no matter how old we are because their longevity was earned by being faithful to God We must continue to earn the knowledge that a family unit is strong especially in Christ. I am not bragging but most of my family is doing real well and it is how the chose God and earned the right to the tree of life, filled with the Holy Spirit, and blessings and favor here on earth. It took me years but now I have the respect from God that even if I try to do wrong it will not even work. I have earned that. I am Defending what I earned in December.

As the year closes you are going to reflect back on what you have accomplished. You may have opened a business but it has not done as well as expected. You may have done something in the arts and
entertainment realm and it still has not hit prime time. You may be doing things in the media ( social as well ) like I am and only have 3 followers and maybe 30 looks at each blog. In Nehemiah 6:1-2 Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem the Arabian tried to discredit everything Nehemiah and the people had accomplished by rebuilding the temple. In verses 3-13 Nehemiah is tempted every which way but knows what he has accomplished and even in verse 14 asks God to forgive his enemies. In Acts 6:10 the fact that Stephen believed in Christ and is full of the Holy Spirit made his enemies not dispute him. You accomplished something by opening your business, your play, song or poetry, your social media website or radio show. Defending in December what you accomplished.

In my last paragraph I want to expound on what you may have planned this year. You may have had a plan to change how things can be different in the area of religion. You may have had a plan to change a law
bill or Constitution ( This is called Amendments. It is the name of a blog I am publishing next week ). But things did not go according to the plan you had set forth as you might have had some setbacks. In the book of Philemon we see where the slave Onesimus planned to steal and runaway from Philemon. Back in that time period Onesimus could have been killed just from running away by any one who caught him. It was in the plan of God that Onesimus hooked up with Paul who knew Philemon. Being with Paul Onesimus was able to find Christ and be able to return to Philemon not as slave but as a equal even though he stole from Philemon and ran away. As we see that no matter what the enemies said about Stephen by him sticking to the plan those who say him say a face of an angel ( Acts 6:15 ). You still have a chance to finish your plans. You can make that change in the area of religion and present them to your church leader and to God. You can still be a force in the area of government by sticking to tour plan or even altering in. Defending in December your plans.
In closing I want you to look at yourself to see what you earned, what you have accomplished and your plans. I want you to say to yourself that your are proud of what you have earned, accomplished and your plans. I want you to give yourself and hug and appreciate what you have earned, accomplished and your plans. We can be active in the education process by going to board meetings or getting a copy of the minutes. We can involved not just our immediate family but those who may do things we may not do anymore and show them by actions how God changes things. We can succeed in faith based businesses because we are going to support those by at least seeing what is offered. We can open that play or show in the arts and entertainment area and support others who in turn will support you. We can be a force in the area of media by starting faith based websites or shows that cam appeal to the unsaved as well as the saved. We can do things different in religion by opening up to new things (  Valley Kingdom Ministries International is hosting a comedy show this Friday with Christian comics ) to show those who question our belief that we can laugh as well. We can change the area of government by emailing our congressman or congresswoman or senators. We are Defending In December all. Have a great.month. I am a writer for thegeekchicmag.com.
