Mothers In Trust

Good morning and Thankful Thursday. As we continue in the month of Mothers In May based on Genesis 21:14-21, 2nd Kings 4:18-23 and Luke 1:28-33 I had a talk with my Mother and she told me that when I was able to stay out past 10:00pm at first she used to be up at night waiting for me to come home. She was concerned that the streets, which they often do, would swallow me up and I may not come home. This was shocking to me because I never knew that she had done this. She also told me that one day she decided that there would be no more sleepless nights for her. It was not that I stopped staying out. It was because she placed it in Gods hands. My Mom is a Mother In Trust.
It could  not have been easy for my Mother to let go and let God. I was already in the midst of being a problem child by being disobedient and doing what I could to buck the system. There were rules that I had
abide by and I did them just enough so I could not hear her screaming at me or throwing things at me ( she threw an iron at me because of my smart mouth). But no matter what she trusted in God. She is a Mother In Trust.
In looking in the Word of God to see a Mother In Trust I go to Genesis 22:1-2. In this passage it speaks of how God tells Abraham to take Isaac with him on a journey. Even though Sarah is not mentioned her trust
in God was there as well. A Mother senses when something is wrong and if she was that worried about what was going she would had said something. Sarah was like my Mother is today. Mother In Trust.

In continuing Mothers In Trust I continue in Genesis 22:9-10. In this passage Abraham and Isaac are at the point to where Abraham has to do the unthinkable he has to slay his son as a sacrifice to God. Though Sarah
is not there once again I can imagine her feeling a time for her to go in pray for her son. Although my Mom did not stay up any more that did not mean that her prayers for me stopped. A Mother In Trust.

In looking in the Word of God for Mothers In Trust I Genesis 22:13-14. The angel that God sent saw the faith that Abraham had and heard the prayer of Sarah and not only interceded but provided a prime example
how when you trust in God he will always provide. I am not perfect or nearly holy but I am in a lot better place than where I used to be. It was because of God of course and then my Mother. Thank God for a Mother In Trust.

In closing there were other Mothers In Trust I knew. My Grandmas,  Ms. Patton, Ms. Harris, my Aunts Josephine, Luella, Thelma, Fan, Elnora and my cousins such as JoAnna and Dorothy Pugh. With these Mothers In Trust how could I go wrong. Not only myself but countless others. Are there any more Mothers In Trust out there today. I thank God for this teaching and give him all the glory and honor. I ask God to bless all who read this especially the Mothers In Trust. Have a great Mothers Day weekend. Please join me next week for my blog called Mothers Gonna Work It Out.
