As we get ready to end the month of Possible In April based on Matthew 19:26 I want to share a story about something that happened on a job I held previously. At this job I came to work everyday but sometimes I would come late and under the influence of drugs. I would attempt to talk to any and every women who worked at this company. I actually did not come to work everyday as I said I had but on days that I wanted to come. I had a bad attitude and did not get along with several co-workers. I would laugh at those I thought that looked strange and talked about each manager or supervisor I had behind their backs. One day there was a open position that would have been a promotion for me so I applied for the position. Good morning and Happy Friday. As we continue in the month of Possible in April I want to talk about my grandmother Mrs. Lilla Mae Birdsong. This woman has been so great to each and every person see has come in contact with. My Grandmother could fuss but she does it with love. Any one who has had her cakes or pies enjoyed them to the fullest. So earlier this year I saw a Facebook posting by my Uncle Donald to keep his Mother, my Grandmother in their prayers. Then when I talked to my Mother and Father they spoke of how she could not hardly recognize people and that she called out or asked for her brother who had passed long ago. My heart was sad after losing so many good people and my own Mother had a broken ankle that made it difficult to not only take care of herself but my Grandmother. The hard part for me was that I would never be able to really talk to my Grandmother again as I barely called just to say hello. As we continue in the month of Possible in April I still see things of the world that just does not seem right. Each day that I ride public transportation or even walk to certain places I see where there are a number of men and women that use the bus stops for entertainment and business opportunities. It does not matter if I am on the south side of the city where I have saw men and women congregate with drinks, cds/dvds for sale and of course the loose squares business. It does not matter if I am on the near north side where the property values are higher I still see remnants of the people who once lived there and now since their housing projects are torn down the only place that they can actually entertain each other is at the bus stop. Good morning and Happy Friday. As w end this week I am bitter about a few things. This week we have a bombing at the Boston Marathon. Many we hurt and a few were killed including a 8 year old boy. At the time of this writing I went to a restaurant downtown that is owned by a resident if my building and thought I was getting a free meal and wound up having to pay which made me overdraft. My body is aching and I am constantly tired each and everyday. I catch attitudes with quickness and seem to be more moody. I never see my parents as they live far away and when I do see them it is a funeral which is why I get to see them this weekend. I had a son who lived with me and when my rent money was due he disappeared and now I do not see him unless, yes you guessed it, at the funeral this week. I work on Sundays so I cannot teach Rhema Word ( VKMI Sunday School ) and that makes me angry. And finally I want to buy a car but it is not in my budget and the city is about to shut down the fastest...

As I begin the 104th day of the year in the month of Possible in April one of the reason I like this month is because of the possibilities it holds. In the Chicago area this month is the time of spring. There is not only plenty of rain to clean away the winter season but days are longer and when the sun is shining you can actually go outside and not feel a chill. You can now begin to hear the birds chirping and begin to see the flowers budding. There is such a freshness in the air and no matter where you live everyone embraces spring. But staying in the inner city there is another what I like to call an element that comes out when it is spring. The element I am talking about is those people who use and sell drugs, the people who sit in front of stores begging for money, and the women and men who sell their bodies to make a living. Good morning all and Happy Friday. As we continue in Possible in April based on Matthew 19:26 I want to focus on something that is happening all over but I see it everyday. In my commute to work I see able bodied men and women being entrepreneurs in the streets of Chicago. Mostly everywhere I go there are people selling loose squares ( for those of you do not know squares are cigarettes and you can learn more about this by going to my blog called I Love Loosey ). Then of course you have the men and woman who are selling drugs. This business is kind of successful as they seem to have the cars, the homes and the money to let others know how they are living. Finally you have men and women who strip their clothes off for money and they also seem to have found fame and fortune in the neighborhoods I live and pass by. Can you see why the teenagers turn to these people because of the lack of other positive role models not visible or active in their neighborhoods. Is there one business m...

The woman pictured is my Mother. In this picture it would seem that me and her have gotten along all of our lives. My Mother is a great cook, a outstanding parent and a excellent singer. My Mother had a major health issue that she overcame. I had even saw my Mother give up smoking cigarettes. As a teen and in my adult years I had a spirit of not wanting to be part of my Mother's life. My Mother continued to pray for me and now we in a greater relationship.
