Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life in October based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 I recently had lunch with a Vice President of Hillshire Farms. He was telling me about how I have been such a help to him by just encouraging him and others as they walk out daily. I knew that he wanted to ask me a question that I am often asked by those who happen to have a time to talk to me. The question is where do I get my energy and positive attitude from. I could easily say it is from getting a lot of rest on the days that I can get rest. I could easily say it is from my parents who are two of the nicest people that any could ever met. I could say that I received it from clergy, deacons, or even other members of my family ( my Grandmother is as sweet as pie as well). My answer to him and everyone else that God is the head of my life and it Shows on My Face.
See each day I get up I am so happy that I was able to start another day. I look forward to being able to tell others that thy are Champions, the best ever, handsome/beautiful and will never fail at
whatever you attempt to do. See when I say that others believe me because it Shows On My Face. As I go into the Word of God I will use three examples of facial expression that others may see at times On Your Face.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Shows On Your Face I go to one of my favorite books and that is 1st Samuel. In 1st Samuel 2:1-2. In this verses we see where Hannah who at one
time could not have children begins a prayer that tells of how now she smiles at her enemies and there is no one whom is greater than God. It Shows on Your Face ( When You About That Life).
In the next example of It Shows On Your Face coming from the Word of God comes from Mark 10:17-22. In these verses we see where the young ruler had come to Jesus to inquire about eternal
life. When he was told he would have to give up his riches to the poor and to come work with Jesus his expression turned to sadness. It Showed On His Face ( He Was Not About That Life).
In looking at the last example of Shows On Your Face I go in the Word of God to 2nd Corinthians 4:7-11. At times our faces show signs of being perplexed as times we are persecuted but Jesus is
always with us as his death on the cross and hos resurrection has provided life for each and every person in the world. At times being perplexed is Shown On Your Face ( Even If You Are About That Life).
In conclusion we all at times have looks on our faces that shows the expressions that we may not want others to see. I try to smile at not only my enemies but at each person I come in contact with because I am About That Life in Christ. Then there are times when I am sad but I do my best to not let others know because I'm About That Life. And then there are days when things are making me perplexed but I can be even keeled and move forward because I'm About That Life. We as believers need to Show On Our Face that We About That Life In Christ. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching. Please join me next week for my teaching called I Aint Scared of No Haints. Have a great day at services tomorrow.
Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. This past month I was riding with my friend Angela Francis. On this particular day she had to go get her hair done and her friend Roxanne' shop. I had done this numerous times in the past so when I was getting ready to leave I told Angela I was going to the forest preserve to sit and wait as she got her hair done. At the forest preserve I would be able to do two things while I was there. I would be able to think of ideas for my blog, my radio show and my daily postings on Facebook. When you attempt to write you sometimes get writer's block and need to get to a different atmosphere ( Hmmm Writer's Block may be a blog soon LOL ). The other reason I wanted to go to the forest preserve is because it was hot that day and I needed some shade. So as I approached the forest preserve I put on my left turn signal and waited for traffic coming southbound to clear. After ...
Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word. So as we...
Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. Growing up we used to love to take pictures. Maybe not myself because I had a self confidence problem, but everywhere you went there was someone taking pictures. In grammar school we took pictures every week. In high school we took them every year. At church we took pictures. In the club we took pictures as a group to show we all went to a party. Most of the pictures we took were with a Polaroid camera which had great quality then. But if you wanted the best pictures you wanted the photographer to take your pictures. This was one of the coolest professions back then because all the ladies who wanted to be models or actresses had to go to the photographer to get that photo to take to the different agencies to show how they look. So in order to get the best quality the photographer had to go someplace where he could get the best results. It was his Dark Room. This is the na...
