Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the month of I'm About That Life in October based on Daniel 6:16-22, Amos 5:4-8 and Galatians 2:17-21 I recently had lunch with a Vice President of Hillshire Farms. He was telling me about how I have been such a help to him by just encouraging him and others as they walk out daily. I knew that he wanted to ask me a question that I am often asked by those who happen to have a time to talk to me. The question is where do I get my energy and positive attitude from. I could easily say it is from getting a lot of rest on the days that I can get rest. I could easily say it is from my parents who are two of the nicest people that any could ever met. I could say that I received it from clergy, deacons, or even other members of my family ( my Grandmother is as sweet as pie as well). My answer to him and everyone else that God is the head of my life and it Shows on My Face.
See each day I get up I am so happy that I was able to start another day. I look forward to being able to tell others that thy are Champions, the best ever, handsome/beautiful and will never fail at
whatever you attempt to do. See when I say that others believe me because it Shows On My Face. As I go into the Word of God I will use three examples of facial expression that others may see at times On Your Face.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Shows On Your Face I go to one of my favorite books and that is 1st Samuel. In 1st Samuel 2:1-2. In this verses we see where Hannah who at one
time could not have children begins a prayer that tells of how now she smiles at her enemies and there is no one whom is greater than God. It Shows on Your Face ( When You About That Life).
In the next example of It Shows On Your Face coming from the Word of God comes from Mark 10:17-22. In these verses we see where the young ruler had come to Jesus to inquire about eternal
life. When he was told he would have to give up his riches to the poor and to come work with Jesus his expression turned to sadness. It Showed On His Face ( He Was Not About That Life).
In looking at the last example of Shows On Your Face I go in the Word of God to 2nd Corinthians 4:7-11. At times our faces show signs of being perplexed as times we are persecuted but Jesus is
always with us as his death on the cross and hos resurrection has provided life for each and every person in the world. At times being perplexed is Shown On Your Face ( Even If You Are About That Life).
In conclusion we all at times have looks on our faces that shows the expressions that we may not want others to see. I try to smile at not only my enemies but at each person I come in contact with because I am About That Life in Christ. Then there are times when I am sad but I do my best to not let others know because I'm About That Life. And then there are days when things are making me perplexed but I can be even keeled and move forward because I'm About That Life. We as believers need to Show On Our Face that We About That Life In Christ. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching. Please join me next week for my teaching called I Aint Scared of No Haints. Have a great day at services tomorrow.
Good morning and Happy Friday. The summer is now beginning and the weather is now reaching its highest temperatures. It has reached a high point of 90's so far in the Chicagoland area and it appears to be nothing in sight to relieve us of these conditions that are almost drought like. As the summer gets ready to start in earnest next week we anticipate the warmest temps of the year after a winter that saw a little snow but the hawk, ( that's what we call the wind in the CHI ) was in full effect. But the sun has been out daily and we need a little moisture in our lives. We expect things to get wet in order for us to not only cool off but to wash away some things and bring a freshness of new things in our lives. The hotness of the weather coincides with the hotness in our lives. We need things to cool off a little bit but need some things to come down so we can enjoy the things in our lives that is promised to us as Christians. We are faithful and trusting in his Word. So as we...
Good morning and Happy Saturday. As we continue in the month of I Am Calling You Out In November based on 1st Samuel 13:13-15, Matthew 23:25-30 and Hebrews 2:1-4 back when I was younger there were a group of teens that I hung out with at the church I attended. We came from the best families in the church and we knew that almost anything we asked our parents for we would get. There were a few teens in our church that did not have the things that we did. Their parents or parent may not have the resources our parents had and we would tease them because of that. We knew that God blesses us better than them because our parents paid more tithes, had the best positions in the church and had the prime positions in every position in the church. God blessed us more so we are definitely going to heaven. We did not know at the time that we were acting Holier Than Thou ( Jesus is Calling You Out). Many of the people of God today have gotten to that place in their salvation that we forgot that ...
Good morning and Happy Monday. Brand new week. Brand new attitude. The past is the past. The future is unlimited. As we continue in the month of Boom in December based on Deuteronomy 17:19-20, Habakkuk 2:3 and John 10:9-10 when I publish this blog it will be two days before Christmas and there will be a lot of people anticipating what they will open on Christmas day. Most people badger the ones who they expect presents from to see what is in the box, the package or the envelope under the tree. At times the expectations of waiting outweighs the actual receiving of the gift so much so that you cannot wait. This year we as the people of faith have been faithful to God and patiently waiting for the healing, the activation, the promises. Well the wait is about to come to an end because God has told me through the Holy Spirit that Boom ! It Will Not Tarry. In looking at the key word in the text, tarry, I will go to dictionary.com to get the definition. The word tarry means as follows: to...
